When I found out that I had been accepted onto the placement, I was thrilled. With the summer blooming, the last thing I wanted was to be bored throughout the holidays and this placement was the perfect opportunity to get some experience in marketing, which is what I hope to pursue as a career, along with working for the Ministry of Agriculture. The Placement also gives me the opportunity to complete a level 3 qualification in Management, and this will help improve my CV and my chances of succeeding in my future profession. On the morning of the 29th of May, the date that I was scheduled to start my Placement, I was very nervous as I did not know quite what to expect, and had not met Catherine before, apart from a quick discussion about the placement in the Small holders show a few weeks prior. Arriving at Catherine's farm in Tally, I was put at ease instantly as we had a cup of tea and a chat about what she expected of me over the duration of the placement and what I was to do throughout the day. Currently, I am enjoying the placement very much and can’t wait for the events that we have planned over the summer and the different types of farm visits and meetings that myself and Catherine are going to be attend over the next few weeks.
This is my first blog post!
